Beard Mustache Eyebrow Transplantation

If your beard and mustache are sparse or grow less, there is now a treatment for this with Beard Mustache Eyebrow Transplantation.  This is now possible with hair follicle transplantation.  It is possible to achieve a more aesthetic appearance thanks to the FUE technique transplantation to areas where there is regional thinning, ringworm or scarring.

According to the statistics of the International Society of Hair Surgery (ISHRS), there has been a significant increase in the demand for beard and mustache transplantation in Turkey and nearby geographies, especially with the increase in public knowledge about hair transplantation.  There is no treatment yet for growing new hair in hairless areas.  Therefore, the best method is transplantation.  It is possible to achieve a more aesthetic appearance thanks to transplantation using FUE and FUT techniques to areas with regional thinning, ringworm or scars.

What are the Causes of Beard, Mustache and Sideburn Loss?

The density and thickness of the hair depends entirely on the genetic structure.  After entering puberty, beard and mustache hairs thicken for 3 years and become long, hard and dark hairs.  Unless there is a serious change in the male hormone level, beard hair maintains this characteristic feature.  Beard loss can occur due to skin diseases as well as autoimmune diseases.  Apart from these, the most severe damage is caused by hormonal imbalances.  Testosterone level should be checked to find out the cause of hair and beard loss.

Who is Beard Mustache Eyebrow Transplant Suitable for?

A rough or sparse beard and mustache are among the main reasons why people apply for transplantation.  Beard transplantation can be done from the age of 20-22, when hormones reach the basal level.  This procedure is also preferred for men who want to grow their sideburns and who like the two-day beard look, but whose beard strands grow irregularly or intermittently.  Beard transplantation can be applied to men who have no beard at all, as well as to men who have patches of hairless areas in their beard.

How is Beard, Mustache and Eyebrow Transplant Done?

If there is general sparseness or regional beard loss, the transplantation process is adjusted according to the density of the beard around it.  If the beard is not completely present, then between 1,000 and 3,000 follicles can be transplanted, depending on the frequency and limit desired by the person.  Transplanting 400 roots each to the mustache and chin area, 100 roots each to the sideburns, and a total of 1,000 roots, provides a significant change in appearance.

Beard transplantation is performed by removing hair follicles from the thin haired area just above the nape of the neck or above the ears.  In beard transplantation, the FUE method is applied to those who accept the haircut, and the FUT method is applied to those who do not.  Unnecessary hairs under the chin area, chest, lower part of the neck and on the cheekbones can also be used to thicken the sparser areas of the beard.

What is the Beard Mustache Eyebrow Transplantation Process?

After the beard transplant, there will be no scar on the body or neck.  The transplanted area will have a dark red appearance due to the blood clot from where the needles used were inserted immediately after the transplant, but this appearance clears after the first dressing.  In order for the transplanted beard to be better nourished by the body, there is an increase in blood flow in the transplant area and as a result, small red spots appear at the roots of the hair.  This slightly red appearance disappears on its own within 1-2 weeks.  After the second week, some of the transplanted beard and mustache experience a temporary shedding called shock shedding.  After temporary hair loss, all of the hair loss grows back permanently after a few months.

How is Mustache Transplantation Done?

It is the process of transplanting hair follicles to the part of the upper lip where hair does not grow.  With the FUE technique used in transplantation, problems such as scars, surgery scars, burn scars and hair loss in the mustache area can be covered naturally.

With the FUE technique, as many hair follicles as desired are taken from the desired location and transplanted to the determined mustache area, at the desired frequency and in the direction required in that area.  The roots are transplanted with the help of 0.6-0.7 mm tools without cutting the skin. In this way, the transplantation time is shortened and there is no root death since the roots do not wait.

The transplanted hair follicles continue to grow after transplantation.  If a sparse area occurs 4-6 months after transplantation, transplantation can be done again.  Although mustache transplantation is a short and practical procedure, it should be performed by a specialist to prevent undesirable consequences.
